Cross country training

We have to do a lot of training for cross country. We need to jog until the last lap.

Sometimes we ran on the tennis courts but now we run on the field.

We had to run up the steps of the dirt hills and in between.

I think we are going to do better than last year.

After we run we have to do some stretches to cool down and take little breaths.

Questions

What kind of sport do you like best?

Why do you like that sport?

What happened when you did cross country?

  1. My favourite sport is badminton. I like it because smashing the shuttle is a lot of fun. I am not very good at cross country. I am not fast so get passed by a lot of people. I hang in there and keep trying to pass the person who is just ahead of me.

  2. Thank you for telling us the things you are good at and the things you are not so good at. It's good you never give up at cross country. Do you like running? Is it fun playing badminton? Not very many of us has played it before. What does it feel like after you have played badminton? Do you still play badminton? Thank you for posting your comment

    1. Yes, I still play badminton and it is a lot of fun. If you haven't played for a while you can get a sore bottom from lunging for the shuttle. I don't like running much but I am going to do some after school tomorrow because I need to get fitter for a badminton tournament that is coming up. Has anyone from Matawhero 14 ever played in a sports tournament?

  3. You have written an interesting post about training for the cross country. I am very proud of the way you are all trying hard to improve your running. I liked playing netball and hockey when I was at school. I was usually the goalie. I think it is fun to play in a team. Do you like playing with a team or in a sport by yourselves?
